The captain represents that they are one of the four players and are authorized by the other three to submit information, accept this waiver and terms, receive event notices, and pay the team fee. The captain represents that all information is accurate and complete and that the roster meets gender, selected-division, applicable 50+, and DUPR requirements.

Pickleball and related activities involve foreseeable and unforeseeable risks, including collisions, falls, contact with balls or paddles, musculoskeletal injury, dehydration, heat illness, cardiovascular events, court or equipment conditions, travel, and the conduct of others. Each player participates voluntarily and assumes these risks of injury, death, or property damage to the fullest extent permitted by law. Players are responsible for evaluating their fitness and consulting a medical professional when appropriate.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, all four players, for themselves and their heirs, release CUAAASC, PaikaSports, Pickleball Haven, sponsors, vendors, administrators, volunteers, and their affiliates from participation-related claims arising from ordinary negligence. This does not release gross negligence, willful misconduct, or liability that cannot lawfully be waived. Players agree to indemnify those parties from third-party claims and reasonable costs caused by a breach, false information, or a player’s wrongful conduct.

In an emergency, event personnel may reasonably contact emergency services and provide basic assistance but have no obligation to diagnose or treat. Each player is responsible for medical, ambulance, insurance, and related costs. The organizer does not guarantee particular on-site medical resources.

Players agree to follow published event rules, venue requirements, reasonable staff directions, and applicable DUPR/USA Pickleball rules. Rating fraud, duplicate identities, unsafe conduct, harassment, damage, or serious misconduct may lead to rejection, disqualification, or removal, subject to the refund policy. The organizer may reasonably adjust procedures for safety, weather, venue, operations, or fair play.

General photography or video may occur for event documentation, community reporting, and unpaid CUAAASC/PaikaSports event promotion. A player may request reasonable accommodation before the event; the organizer will make reasonable efforts but cannot guarantee exclusion from all public scenes or spectator photography. This consent does not authorize sale of an individual likeness.

Players under 18 may participate. The application does not create a separate guardian-consent workflow. The captain is responsible for ensuring that a minor and their parent or legal guardian understand and agree to participation and these terms before registration, consistent with applicable law. If additional documentation is legally required, the organizer may contact the captain before the event.

The captain’s checkbox and submission constitute electronic acceptance for the team; the version, timestamp, captain account, and registration ID are recorded. If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder remains effective and the provision is enforced to the maximum lawful extent. Governing law and venue follow applicable law where the event is organized, without limiting nonwaivable consumer rights.
